Virtual Learing Environments

Virtual Learning in this new digital age can offer students so much opportunity to experience different ways of learning and engagement. I believe teachers hardest task is keeping students focused on learning and not being side tracked ! Software like Second Life is very interactive and offers a great sense of exploration ! It's also fun to walk or fly around ! Because of this fact it can become distracting at times ! As wonderful this new technology is giving us a learning tool allowing a broad spectrum of communication, I believe in person teaching is so very important for the development of social skills and group work.
